There’s something quietly powerful about knowing who made your clothes.

Not just the place… but the people, the energy, the intention woven into every thread.

For our next Meraki Beach collection, we’ve partnered with the Saheli Women, a beautiful collective of artisans based in rural Rajasthan, India.

And this is where fashion becomes something far more meaningful.

Who Are The Saheli Women?

Founded in 2015, the Saheli Women are a women-led, non-profit ethical fashion collective based in Bhikamkor village in the Jodhpur district of Rajasthan.

They provide:

  • Fair, stable employment
  • Skilled training in garment making
  • A safe and supportive working environment

Today, over 100 women are part of this atelier — many now earning independent incomes and reshaping their futures.

Why Ethical Fashion Matters

In a world of fast fashion, choosing handmade, ethical clothing is a conscious step towards change. When you wear pieces made by the Saheli Women, you are supporting:
  • Sustainable fashion practices
  • Artisan craftsmanship
  • Women’s empowerment
  • Small-batch production

This is slow fashion — intentional, thoughtful & made to last.

The Heart of Bhikamkor

Bhikamkor is a rural village rich in heritage and craft.

Through the Saheli Women, local artisans have gained:

  • Financial independence
  • Confidence and community
  • Opportunities previously out of reach

Their atelier is more than a workplace — it’s a space of transformation.

Our Collaboration

Our upcoming Meraki Beach SOLARA collection has been created in partnership with the Saheli Women using traditional techniques and slow fashion principles.

Each piece is:

  • Made in small batches
  • Crafted with care
  • Designed to be worn and loved for years

A More Conscious Way to Dress

Choosing what we wear is more powerful than we think.

When you support ethical fashion, you support real women, real stories and a more sustainable future.

And that just feels good. Shop our sustainable collections here....
